13. The Law of Peace
Again, akin to being and living Love, Joy, Bliss, living the Law of Contentment, is the Law of Peace.
Meditation is an excellent way to start living this law quickly, for meditation will put you at the eye of the storm, the peaceful center in other words, in a mystical union and oneness with Source, Spirit, or your True Self.
The more frequent and longer that you meditate, the more consistently you will exude peaceful energy, and others will feel this too; they will wonder what your “secret” is, why you remain calm, grounded and peaceful while everything else around you appears less so. It is because you are living the Law of Peace in your oneness with “Who” and “What” you really Are: Peace, Love, Joy, Harmony, Higher Intelligence, Wisdom, Creativity. You are “made in the spiritual Image and Likeness of God”, therefore you are already one with peace; there; you already are beginning to consciously live the Law of Peace.
Living the Law of Peace, along with the Law of Joy and the Law of Compassion, are amongst the most difficult and potentially deceptive of the laws along the ladder to oneness/spiritual liberation from the human-mind.
The human, flawed mind can often fool itself into believing that the body which houses it (perhaps “jails” it!) is living a peaceful, joyous life; a life that is compassionate towards itself and others. That “surface-mind”/human-mind will adapt to circumstances which are less-than-Excellent/God-like, creating crutches and excuses for a mediocre to poor existence! This is because the human, logical mind can reason and justify anything and everything! One petty example is the human mind justifying “just one more” cigarette, or slice of cake, or drink of alcohol, or “hit” of drugs, or sex-partner. We are not judging here, implying that indulging in sex, drugs, sugar, alcohol, or tobacco is incorrect morally, or unhealthy physically/morally/spiritually; indeed, you have chosen your physical, human incarnation to experience anything and everything! It would be logically incorrect to continue these indulgences if the spirit, mind, or body were breaking down as a result of intake/experiencing these. The limit is determined by yourself: are you hurting yourself or others? Are you becoming unhappy or making others unhappy as a result? Were you unhappy in the first place, and therefore chose to distract yourself with an unhealthy over-indulgence of these things?
These are questions both the flawed, human-mind/surface-mind can answer, as well as the “heart”/God-Mind/Spirit. In many cases, both will agree, but in some cases, the flawed/human-mind may justify self-destructive behavior. This is all I want you to be aware of; are you living a truly loving, joyous, peaceful existence, or is it seemingly so because of the addition of/over-indulgence of, the aforementioned exterior things?Living a truly joyous/peaceful existence means you are “sipping from” your own “well” of Higher Mind! It means you no longer have the desire to seek out peace and joy from exterior objects, people, or actions; you are therefore living a “non-ambitious life” (as Buddhist scriptures call it) or the Law of Contentment, experiencing pleasure from your Higher Self!
Imagine feeling peace, joy, and contentment without striving for that stressful job/career, or reaching for that illicit drug, or sugar and fats, or alcohol, or sex-partner?
Feeling whole, joyous, complete, and peaceful without exterior additions is living the Law of Peace.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”-Psalms 46:10
“Better still is surrender of attachments to results, because there follows immediate peace.”-Bhagavad Gita
“Do nothing and all will be well.”-Zen saying
Scientific-Treatment/Affirmative-Prayer/Spiritual/Meditative Mind-Treatment
We affirm and we declare in the Light and Love of Source which we are a part of, and which is a part of us, right here and right now, that we are at peace, feeling whole, healed and complete, and we give thanks for this knowing. We release this, letting it be, And So It Is.
Amen.
